The marine industry is booming at this moment. Freight rates in most sectors are at very high levels and the result is orders for new tonnage are at an all-time record. For example, it has been reported that the order book for tankers is the highest ever recorded at some 150M dwt, that the container industry is set for substantial growth in the next couple of years, and that demand for bulk carriers is equally high.
