ON receiving the March issue of Marine Engineers Review I noted the item entitled Perkins Sabre for Australian Ferry and would like to set the record straight.rnIn the article it states: 'It is believed to be the first ferry designed to provide access for wheelchair-bound passengers.' In fact Sydney Harbour Ferries (SHF) commenced fitting wheelchair access in the early 1980s and I and others spent a lot of time ensuring the systems for disabled passengers were catered for on the various ferries rnwe built at that time.'
