GE engines for Texas ferry

Ge marine is to provide Conrad Industries Inc, of Morgan City, La, with two 8-cylinder V228 medium-speed diesel engines via NREC Power Systems, a GE authorised dealer. The engines will power a US$22.5M passenger/vehicle ferry designed by Alan C McClure Associates Inc and Schuller & Allan LLC, both of Houston, Texas, and which is being built by Conrad Industries for the Texas Department of Transportation, Austin.
