MAN Diesel & Turbo has won an order to supply the gensets for a series of offshore newbuildings recently ordered by Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd.The company refers to the deal as a very important order, considering the current, stressed market situation. Swire has ordered eight IMT-997 platform supply vessels (PSVs), with four to be built by Universal Shipbuilding Corp, in Japan, and a further four to be built by EISA Shipyard in Brazil.
