Titanic memorial booklet published

The Guild of Benevolence of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology has now pub lished a booklet commemo rating the sacrifice made by the engineers of the Titanic. When the liner sank in 1912, the engineers stated at their posts keeping the lights burn ing until she sank. In the process they all perished and a fund was started to raise money for their dependents. Over the following 100 years this fund progressively changed into the Institute's Guild of Benevolence, today providing funds for retired marine engineers.
