The Hershey Company recently announced sales and earnings for the second quarter ended July 1, 2012. Consolidated net sales were $1.41 billion compared with $1.33 billion for the second quarter of 2011. Net income for the second quarter of 2012 was $135.7 million compared with $130 million for the comparable period of 2011. Adjusted net income was $151.49 million in the second quarter of 2012. For the first six months of 2012, consolidated net sales were $3.15 billion.
