Mondelez buys Molinos Rio de la Plata's toffee and taffy unit

Mondelez International has acquired Molinos Rio de la Plata's toffee and taffy unit in Argentina for ARS59.8 million (US$7.1 million). This gives Mondelez the Billiken and DRF brands, among others. Mondelez has sold its local pasta business to Molinos. Mondelez said the sale allowed it to focus on its "strategic business in which it is more competitive — snacks and candy."
