Mars, Inc., will begin labelling foods that contain genetically modified ingredients. The company will label products throughout the United States to meet the upcoming regulations in Vermont. The state of Vermont passed a mandatory genetically modified (gm) ingredient labelling law in 2014, requiring most human food products that contain GM ingredients to include on-pack labelling as of July 2016. To comply with that law, Mars is introducing on-pack labelling on their products.
