Chemical finishes is pad applied as an aqueous solution, dispersion, or emulsion of chemicals with auxiliaries, followed by drying and curing operations. The wet pick up of chemicals in a padding mangle is influenced by many factors such as fabric characteristics, machine settings and solution or emulsion properties. The paper envisages the low wet pick up techniques in the textile finishing and various problems faced during the low wet pick up.
