A review on air-covered yarn

Air covered yarn is most popular yarn in stretchable garment. This yarn contains two components that are core and sheath. Generally, core yarn is elastic yarn and sheath is non elastic. Elastic material is always covered with non-elastic yarn. Elastic properties of yarn are completely depending on type of yarn used and process parameter selected. The fabric produced from this yarn is comfortable, convenient and versatile cloths, and hence yarn has found a wide range of applications area in the textile industry.
