Little Big Disk Thunderbolt SSD

Apple's Thunderbolt connection standard allows you to edit HD video using a MacBook Pro like never before - even topping the throughput possible with an eSATA add-in card. LaCie's Thunderbolt versions of its Little Big Disk contain that technology in a small two-drive box that'll slip into a laptop bag. It's available in 1TB and 2TB hard drive versions (which we reviewed in the Christmas issue), but the one that many audio and video editors will be after features two 120GB SSDs for ultra-fast performance. From the outside, the 240GB SSD drive is identical to the 1TB and 2TB HDD versions. It comes with the same aluminium case, optional stand, and external power adapter. Once again, there's no Thunderbolt cable included in the box, so you'll have to factor in another £39 for that.
