Maison&Objet was the place for companies to meet in the 13000 square meters of Paris Nord Villepinte, 23 - 27 January 2009. Under a single roof, the world of home and fashion offered a global, transversal view of the latest proposals. The show included a number of highlights, such as the architectural and fashion photography exhibit by Karl Lagerfield (Designer of the Year for the 2009 edition of M&O), which proved to be arnwell-balanced, dynamic fusion of home and fashion. Another event that was a big hit and had plenty of visitors was "Paris des Chef", organised with Omnivore magazine. A day dedicated to discovering the link between contemporary cooking and creativity. Designers and chefs analysed the role the kitchen plays in everyday life and found the world of cooking and the world of design share common values and ideologies. The show also offered other encounters, debates and exhibits related to this topic. Of special note. Antidotes, a real true collection of optimism, which consisted of three different areas that gather and present fun, ironic ideas and designs that portray inspiration and resources to survive a crisis situation.
