John Berry's comments about I-Schools ("Why I-Schools Need Library," Blatant Berry, LJ 9/15/07, p. 10) miss a strategic point when he concentrates on whether the word library is included in the press release, names of the schools involved, etc. What is at issue here, and has been for some time, is an extension of the principles and practice of library and information science into other arenas of information activity.
