摘要

I found a confluence between the comments of Francine Fialkoff ("We Are All Ohio," Editorial, LJ7/09, p. 8) and John Berry ("The LIS Placement Gap," LJ 7/09, p. 10).... Unfortunately, public libraries for the most part are very poorly administered by boards with no idea of what they are supposed to be doing and managers whose experience prior to their anointment was minimal at best. They both treat their staffs the way plantation owners treated their employees. I will not even mention how these masters require the MLS, then pay poverty-level wages, but that is not surprising considering how many people think an MLS is a joke. (A lawyer asked me why anyone needed an MLS to do what common sense would tell you to do. I replied that then I could be a lawyer by watching L.A. Law). The whole system needs a jolt of objectivity....

Law成为律师)。整个系统需要客观性。
