Mary Anne Bowman, current Library Deputy Director at St. Mary's County Library, MD, was appointed Acting Director, following Kathleen Reif's retirement, to serve until a permanent replacement can be found. Holly Bradley was promoted to Director of Sayre Public Library, PA. She was previously Youth Services Librarian. Craig Buthod was appointed President and CEO of the Filson Historical Society, Louisville, KY. The 2010 U Librarian of the Year, Buthod recently retired as Director of the Louisville Free Public Library. Carey D. Hartmann was promoted to County Librarian, Laramie County Library System, WY, following Lucie Osbom's retirement. She was previously Deputy County Librarian and Interim County Librarian. The Historically Black Colleges & University Library Alliance has two new board members: Rinalda L. Farrar, Director of Library Services and Assistant Professor, Lincoln University, Jefferson City, MO, and Judith Rogers, Director of Libraries, University of the Virgin Islands. Monika Rhue, Director, James B. Duke Memorial Library, Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC, was reappointed for a second term.
