摘要

Learning analytics involves collecting student data measurements and analysing how to refine the learning experience to make it more effective for students. Some educators have suggested that learning analytics has the potential to help educators to identify students who are initially slow, but later progress from appearing to struggle to being gifted in a relatively short period. Learning analytics can be customised to students' needs, allowing a better and faster picture of their performance. The main goal of Myint Swe Khine's book Emerging Trends in Learning Analytics: Leveraging the Power of Education Data is to present educators and researchers with current trends, ethical issues, creative approaches, innovative methods and theoretical and practical aspects of learning analytics. The editor, Dr. Myint Swe Khine, is a Professor of Education at the Emirates College for Advanced Education in the United Arab Emirates and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education, Curtin University, Australia. He publishes widely in international refereed journals and has edited many books.
