摘要

In this first part of the 21st century, we may be reminded of William Butler Yeats's great poem "The Second Coming," and the line "things fall apart; the center cannot hold." And at times it seems that Yeats is right that "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity." But even in difficult times, strong leadership can accomplish a great deal. Rather than bemoan the challenges we face, we need to do all we can to strengthen the leadership of the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
