California-based company Variant has unveiled its new eco-friendly knitwear platform, which reportedly redefines the fashion industry's manufacturing process by ethically sourcing luxury material and utilising 3D localised production to significantly reduce waste. Variant's revolutionary platform allows users to design unique, custom, high-quality products that are ready to ship in days. "Variant is offering designers customised eco-friendly knitwear, where all orders are manufactured after purchase and made to order, eliminating the problem of overproduction in clothing manufacturing," says Garrett Gerson, Variant's founder. "This will be the first time any company has created this accessibility, speed, and level of customisation."
