摘要

This study was aimed at improving the sound insulation performance of floors in conventional wooden construction houses using simple and low cost measures. The main conclusions were as follows: 1. Laying a carpet on the floor led to a marked decrease in the penetration of air borne sound from the room above, But had little insulating effect against noised from impacts on the floor above.
