摘要

The canister represents a potential source of contamination that can be transferred to a site during replacement of exhausted canisters. The interior of the vessel should be sanitized once resin is removed.Personal experience indicates microbial excursions directly attributed to the canister. E. coli and P. aeru-ginosa were noted during the indicated excursions. As indicated above, service provider standard operating procedures should include both sanitization and rinse of the interior of the canisters as well as any surfaces exposed to potential microbial contamination during resin loading. Finally, the inlet, outlet, and resin fill connections on the canisters should be positively sealed subsequent to resin filling.
