YOUNG PROFESSOR NAOTAKE NODA WITH TOUGHNESS IN SPIRIT AND BODY

It is our great honor that we had the Naotake Noda Symposium at TS 2011 in Budapest on June 7, 2011, to celebrate his age-limit retirement from Shizuoka University in the previous year. We also had the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the "Mt. Fuji club", which Professor R. B. Hetnarski named. We were at the highest place in Japan, i.e., at the top of Mt. Fuji on September 1, 1996 [1]. At that time, Professor Hetnarski was 68 years old. I felt that the climbing had to be wonderful but a hard work for him. On the other hand, we now notice that Professor Noda is 67 years old. His age is almost the same as when Professor Hetnarski was at the top of Mt. Fuji 15 years ago. Can Professor Noda climb Mt. Fuji now? I may say "Yes!" with certainty, since he is still young in spirit and body. My feelings of his talents and abilities are the same as I had when I met him for the first time 37 years ago. I offer my thanks and regards the to the "Young Professor Noda" having been one of his early students.
