摘要

We report the first insertion step at a metal center for the catalytic dehydropolymerization of H3_B-NMeH_2 to form the simplest oligomeric species, H3_B-NMeHBH_2-NMeH_2, by the addition of 1 equiv of H3_B • NMeH_2 to [Ir(PCy_3)_2(H)_2(n~2-H3_B-NMeH_2)][BAr~F_4] to grve[Ir(PCy_3)_2(H)_2(n~2-H_3_B·NMeHBH_2·NMeH_2)][BA~F_4]. This reaction is also catalytic for the formation of the free linear diborazane, but this is best obtained by an alternative stoichiometric synthesis.
