An analysis of the single-particle nucleonic motion in a realistic nuclear potential has been carried out. Classical trajectories in the axially symmetric as well as non-axially symmeric octupole deformed potential Have been investigated by means of Lyapunov exponents and the power spectrum methods. Differences in the Number of positive exponents and in the character of the power spectrum according to symmetry point-groups Have been observed.
