摘要

The paper presents a problem of radio-frequency interference (RFI) generated by selected high-voltage objects. The research has been carried out for very simple objects, i.e. a single needle or a single sphere under high voltage as well as for complex object, i.e. extinguishing chamber of vacuum interrupter. Measurements were conducted with receiving antenna system or using measuring impedance. A typical RFI measurement system has been used to investigate prebreakdown phenomena in the extinguishing chamber. The results of the experiment allow to decide whether the extinguishing chamber may be a source of RFI. The investigations have shown a strong relation between breakdown voltage and the RF interference onset voltage.
