I have to admit that I was excited by the prospect of reviewing Web Information Management: A Cross-Disciplinary Textbook. As stated in its preface, 'This book sets out to address gaps in the existing web-based tools and methods for information management.' The book also had the appropriate focus for both my university teaching and consulting engagements, since it was 'meant for students and faculty in tertiary education, and practitioners in business and industry as well as in government'.
