Andrew Wesley Howard Medlicott (1943-2015)

Andrew Medlicott was probably known to only a few members of the Archives and Records Association, but his work contributed significantly to the availability of government records for research. Andrew was born on 12 March 1943 in Ludham, Norfolk, the son of Frank and Helen Medlicott. He was educated at Westminster School, then read History at Trinity Hall, Cambridge between 1961 and 1964. He emerged with a good degree then embarked on two years' research for an MA, into the Medieval Papacy.
