Information at work: information management in the workplace

The modern workplace is defined by rapid change and demand for constant innovation. Yet what does this mean for the evolving nature of work and what are the implications for information in the workplace? These are some of the fundamental questions explored in this book. The book consists of seven chapters, each written by one or more of the contributing editors (hereafter referred to as the authors), all of whom are professional academics within their specialist fields of information science. Each chapter addresses a different theme associated with the study of information in the workplace. The authors cover a wide range of perspectives, from information culture and management to information attributes and artefacts. They explore the influences driving change in the modern workplace, such as technological innovation, and consider what these mean for how we work and who we are as a result.
