Chines-Dry Planning of Slender Hulls: A General Theory Applied to Prismatic Surfaces

The ultimate goals of this two-part study are the advantages and deficiencies of appli- cation of camber to dry-chine, stepped-planning forms. The present paper is limited to the correlation of a relatively new theory with existing data to quality it for use in a later paper which will predict the hydrodynamic characteristics of practical forms without and with cambers.
