In the opinion of researchers (Bedrosian, 1985; Thomson, 1982), this work was written at the end of the fifth century or beginning of the sixth century. It has come down to us in a manuscript collection of the year 1672, compiled in Bakhesh, in the Amirtolu Monastery (the Monastery of Saint John the Baptist), and it is kept in Armenia's Matenadaran [the institute housing Old Armenian manuscripts-Trans.].
