Although I am practicing revenue management (RM) daily, this book captured my attention from the very beginning. It emphasizes and examines in depth the practical application of RM affecting passenger transportation. Indeed, it gives the reader the most important information that an operator needs in the practice and application of RM. The book, as the title indicates, examines RM mainly in the airline industry. From the start, it gives the reader practical information and defines RM so that even the uninitiated can understand what it is all about. It is very well structured and the content is exact and to the point without digressing from the theory of RM. The book cites a variety of practical examples and uses the required terminology to help the reader to understand the practice of RM and familiarizes him/her with the theory. After reading the book, the reader comes away with a clear understanding of how to implement the theory of RM.
