The spiritual formation of an individual continues to evolve and take shape throughout the life cycle. Unfortunately, many believe that the elderly have completed this journey. The 21stt century began with society's perspective that our aging population has arrived, or if they have not, it is probably too late. Spiritual formation is the process of recognizing and realizing God's unique purpose in one's life. This discussion focuses on the continuing development of one's purpose and the pivotal role a Christian counselor can play in its realization.
