Kawasaki Steel's Overseas Technical Assistance Regarding Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation

Kawasaki Steel successfully carried out Top Gas Pressure Recovery Turbine (TRT) Model Project at Panzhihua Iron & Steel (Group) Co. PR. China from 1995 to 1998 assigned by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Orga- nization (NEDO). This model project was a part of "Green Aid Plan" (GAP), which was promoted by the Ministry of Inter- national Trade and Industry (MITI) in order to assist developing countries for environmental conservation and the effi- cient use of energy. In succession to the model project, Kawasaki Steel carried out feasibility studies in Ukraine in 1998 and 1999 and also in China, Malaysia and Thailand in 1999.
