Burton G. Malkiel

With the passing of Peter Bernstein the world has lost one of the smartest and most insightful commentators on financial markets. I have had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Peter in three different contexts. First, like so many others, I have learned from his extensive writings. Second, I have benefited directly from his editorial acumen as Peter helped make substantial improvements to my contributions to The Journal of Portfolio Management. Finally, I have been associated with two organizations that relied on Peter as a valued consultant.
