Recent studies in East Asian communication

摘要

Increasing business, cultural, and educational exchanges between Asian and Western countries calls for better understanding among nations and more effective intercultural interaction. The three books reviewed in this article are timely and important contributions to the communication literature about three East Asian countries: China, Japan, and Korea. Incorporating research, surveys, interviews, participant observation, individual narratives, and personal experience, the books provide a panoramic picture of East Asian communication.
