Striking A Balance Between Reporting Online Child Exploitation and Protecting Users' Privacy Rights: A Survival Guide for Social Networking Sites

Over the past year, there has been a great deal of media, law enforcement, and congressional attention on the duties of social networking sites such as MySpace and J Facebook to protect minors from inappropriate material and unwelcome contact from adults and on the mechanisms that these sites should implement to prevent and address these harms. At the same time, these issues have raised increased concerns about the privacy rights of users of social networking sites.
