A Critical Review of is 3370 Code for Design of Liquid Retaining Structures

摘要

IS 3370 Part (I) to (IV) deals with the design of liquid retaining structures. It is long overdue for revision. However corresponding British Standard BS 2007-1960 has been revised to BS 5337-1976 and then to BS 8007-1987. This paper takes the survey of various clauses of IS3370 in view of the latest technological developments and emphasizes an urgent need to update Indian standard.
