Doubling the Water Treatment Plant Capacity from 150 mld to 300mld: A Case Study at Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC)

All over the world the plant augmentation technology is gaining the ground fast for the obvious reasons mentioned above. This is probably for the first time, that the Clariflocculators were augmented on such a large scale. These techniques have a huge potential for application in this country. The resource crunch by default will be a single largest factor influencing in favour of such cost effective and efficient techniques in the near future. Six months have been completed after the commissioning of this project and the augmented plant is running very satisfactorily.
