THE CHANGING WATER WORLD

摘要

The current pattern of water use is not the same as it used to be hundred or two hundred years back. Sociologists& economists in addition to technologists are increasingly getting involved in studying the manner in which water is used by different people and the impact thereof on water quality and water quantity. Human capacity to harness water has increased substantially in the last two centuries. But society's skills in returning the used water to nature in a safe manner have not kept pace with the increasing use of water. There is now considerable scope for innovations in that respect.
