In a world increasingly vulnerable to climatic hazards as a consequence of the recent global warming, the occurrences of such anomalies in the historical past have become a favorite theme not only for earth scientists but also for historians and anthropologists. And, surely, there is much to be investigated in this novel field, but the consistency of the findings arrived at in the various disciplines needs to be shared and mutually verified to make any scientific sense.
