摘要

Locally available sawdust, a byproduct of the world industry, was found to be a low cost and promising adsorbent for the removal of copper(II) from wastewater. In this work, adsorption of copper on sawdust has been studied by using batch techniques. The equilibrium adsorption level was determined to be a function of the solution pH, contact time, and sorbate concentration. The equilibrium adsorption capacity of sawdust for copper was obtained by using linear Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms.
