Taiwan-based Etron Technology, Inc. is a fabless semiconductor manufacturer established in 1991 by Dr. Nicky Lu who had been involved in the development of dynamic random access memories (DRAMs) at IBM Corporation. Lu is Etron's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Starting out as a developer of DRAMs, Etron evolved into a leading fabless DRAM manufacturer. The company went on a public offering in Taiwan in 1998 and achieved sales of US$257 million in 2010, with business expanding steadily for the past years.
