An Introduction to the Theory of Mechanism Design

Mechanism design has been a central part of economic theory for some decades now, but there have not been many textbooks covering it in the form that it is most actively used currently: the body of results based on the revelation principle (explained below). Several books have covered parts of mechanism design, well described in the preface of this book, which also explains how the book fills this gap in the textbook coverage very nicely.
