摘要

The structure of the radiation-induced thermooptical response of an anisotropic fiber light guide (AFLG) is analyzed. It is shown that the generally accepted model of variation of the birefringence of an anisotropic light guide should be corrected for the situations when the rate of heating is comparable with the guide intrinsic thermo-diffusion rate. A corrected model of the variation of the birefringence of a light guide under the influence of external luminous radiation (ELR) is proposed that takes into account dynamic variations of the birefringence in the form of an integral of the temperature gradient in its cross section.
