摘要

The resurgence of the magmatic origin of all granites as derivatives of the protolyte by melt- ing, basaltic magma differentiation, fractional crystallization, collision and subduction of plates and by fusion (anatexis) is critically discussed. Trace elements and isotope geochemistry is seen as supplemental to the mineralogy and to the comparative study of granitic textures and structures, and textural analysis restores petrographic studies as fundamental for the understanding of the ori- gin of granites.
