摘要

August 2009 marked the end of the first full year processing manuscripts online. Any editor will tell you that a significant aspect of the job is managing and monitoring the flow of manuscripts through the editorial office. Manuscript Central eases this responsibility considerably. While it is onerous for some authors and reviewers, we've successfully worked through the difficulties, and the transition to using online submissions was smooth. Both Taylor & Francis and ScholarOne provided outstanding tutorials to help me learn the system, and BEA sponsored additional training for me at ScholarOne's headquarters. The process is running smoothly and the transition to the next editor should be seamless.
