Airport Surface Data Publication Service: Considerations for the SWIM-Enabled NAS

NextGen concepts like trajectory based operations (4D trajectories), the agile NAS and reduced weather impacts are rooted on the foundation of a robust information sharing environment. System Wide Information Management (SWIM) a NextGen transformational program that will fundamentally change NAS Operations. Despite the volumes written on the critical role of information sharing for NextGen, there are non-technical considerations in establishing the SWIM-enabled NAS.
