今後想定される国内外各地の大災害によって街や建物が破壊,喪失されるなか,一体何を継承していくのかを議論することが重要である。その糸口として,空間の使い方や管理の仕組み,人の繋がりや社会組織,行事といったものの重要性•可能性が日本建築学会などで指摘され,東日本大震災における地域文脈の重要性が提言されている。そのなかで平田は,漁業形態と漁村空間が時代に伴い変化しても,「生活と生産の空間が一体化」している空間特性に変化はないことを指摘し,「漁村の統合性という地域文脈をどのように継承するかがポイント」であると述べている。山口は,自然災害により甚大な被害を受け,従前の環境が破壊された農村集落を対象にその復旧•復興における空間的な住宅や地域の仕組みの重要性とその継承•再生について述べている。これらを踏まえ木多は,「先代達の創意工夫の考え方を解読」し「復興計画に重ね合わせる」ことの重要性を述べている。%In this study, investigation was conducted in 17 fishing villages in Onagawa area, in order to clarify the mechanism of coexistence, such as management of fishing place, utilization of public and religious facilities, and common ownership of cemeteries before the Great East Japan Earthquake. The following results are mainly obtained. (1) Fisheries have been utilized and managed by agreement of traditional territorial boundaries representing shore rights with each village, and by prefectural regulation, which gives fishing right to a fisherman individually. (2) Common ownership of a cemetery is found between Tsukahama and Koyadori village. (3) Five names of Shinto shrines are used commonly among 14 villages. (4) Six temples, which include three temples outside of Onagawa area, are utilized commonly among 16 villages. (5) Spatial and social resources are managed by pluralistic and multiple layered relationships among 17 villages.
