Russia will start construction in 2009 of two new missile-armed nuclear submarines at the Sevmash (SeverodvinskrnMachine Building Plant) yards at Severodvinsk.rnOne will be the fourth unit of the Borey-class (Project 955) ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) that will be armed with the Bulava submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM); the other will be the lead boat of the Yasen-class (Project 885) cruise missile-armed submarines (SSGNs).rnThe director-general of Sevmash, Nikolaiy Kalistratov, announced the new construction at Archangel on 7 April, according to Russian press reports.
