Large-scale exercise points to growing Sino-Russian military co-operation

In a sign of growing military cooperation between Moscow and Beijing about 13,000 Russian and Chinese troops have taken part in the 'Sibu/Interaction 2021' exercise, marking the first time that such joint strategic military drills have been held in China. The five-day-long manoeuvres began on 9 August at the Qing-tongxia combat training base in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in north-central China.
