The global industrial landscape continued to shift in 2015. The market-changing merger of Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky was one of a number of deals to move the North American market, while sector leaders in Europe continued to adapt to position for future growth. In Asia, meanwhile, government policy change was evident to drive ambitious transformation programmes. After years of inactivity, 2015 sawthe beginnings of movement in the US defence industry as companies wrangled with stagnant budgets. With defence spending set to grow modestly in the coming years, however, companies began to dip into mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity in a bid to prepare for the next spending upcycle.
